Loyalist’s Applied Research and Innovation Office (ARIO) is opening a call for proposals for Mitacs internships to support applied research projects in the social innovation space.
Loyalist College and Mitacs have partnered on this call for proposals to create opportunities for organizations to access research talent from Loyalist College. This funding opportunity will help reduce barriers for partner organizations to participate in the Mitacs Accelerate program and provide paid research internships to students for projects that align with the mission of social innovation research.
This call for proposals is intended to support collaborations with organizations that are seeking solutions to immediate challenges related to social determinants of health and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Projects of interest are those that imbue a health equity perspective while working on challenges related to poverty, health and wellbeing, quality education and/or reducing inequalities.
ARIO is currently accepting intake applications for Spring/Summer 2024 Semester internships.
