Devon is a researcher with a diverse background spanning anthropology and the health sciences. He completed his BA in Anthropology at Trent University Durham GTA and his MSc in Anthropology at Trent University. His early research focused on the bio-cultural and social determinants of health in ancient Central America. Following his MSc, Devon continued his studies at the University of Western Ontario, where he is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, specializing in Health Promotion.
Devon specializes in research on perinatal care for women living with childhood-onset disabilities, with a broader focus on healthcare accessibility and transitional care. A member of the Women’s Health Research Cluster, his work is grounded in Critical Medical Anthropology and emphasizes the complex interplay between biological and sociocultural factors that shape health outcomes across the life course.
